It is a mental phenomenon by which viewers derive more meaning from the interaction of two sequential shots than from a single shot in isolation. Web 1.0 - Characterised by - Research - Sending Emails Around 2000 - Web 2.0 characterized by:  Instant messaging (MSN) Social Media (My Space)  Interactivity - Early 2000s we got streaming/Youtube and Facebook  Henry Jenkins  A Cultural optimist who sees new media as a force for good Fan culture and participatory culture are very positive breaking down social-cultural barriers  Fans and audiences can create their own stories and versions of products question share participate.
